An adjustable work positioning lanyard is a personal safety component that is used in a temporary work restraint system to connect the user’s safety harness to an anchorage point. The anchorage point may be at a fixed point allowing the user only linear movement, or connected to a horizontal lifeline system that allows a far greater level of movement.
Adjustable work positioning lanyards are also known as rope and grab lanyards, because adjustment along its length is made using a handheld locking grab device. That makes this component easier to adjust, which is important during work restraint operations.
Scissorsafe adjustable work positioning lanyards are manufactured from durable 12 mm kernmantle rope and fitted with a 35 kN rated carabiner at the anchorage connection point. This reduces wear on the horizontal lifeline due to its wide shape. An auto-locking oval karabiner at the harness connection point removes the necessity to manually screw the karabiner gate closed when connecting.
Adjustable work positioning lanyards are manufactured for SafetyRespect Ltd. and carry a Declaration of Conformity to EN358.
