Our Precast socket is designed to be casted into precast concrete slabs right at the concrete factory. This provide an easier, faster and safer mounting of temporary edge protection at the construction site.
An Omnia flooring slab is a reinforced precast concrete slab which incorporates a triangular lattice girder that is attached to a lower layer of reinforcement. The lattice girder is manufactured using high strength steel wire which binds with in-situ concrete which is poured onto it.
By casting a Precast socket (product code 911108) into the lower slab means that temporary edge protection can be installed onto the slab before it is lifted into position allowing rebar installation and concrete placing onto the slabs within a collectively protected work area.
Precast sockets are fixed to rebar before the lower portion concrete is cast. A cut length of Protective sleeve (product code 911107) is inserted onto the Precast socket, which forms a 50 mm diameter hole around the Post and allows extraction when temporary edge protection is no longer required.
The Precast socket has an integrated post lock. Post 1,3 m and Barrier 2,6 are installed either before or after the prefabricated element is lifted in place. The Barriers can easily be lifted to the desired height when casting. No tools are needed.

When anchoring to vertical beams and walls we offer VT slabstopfix which has the added benefit of being designed to support formwork for slab edges. The VT Slabstopfix serves both to hold an edge protection post and as a stop-end for the edge formwork. An anchor point for rolling threaded rods or anchors offers numerous application possibilities. When mounted, the distance between the punched angle steel and the slab edge is 50 mm.

Fixing temporary fall protection to the edge of the concrete slab offers a clear working area on top of the slab for the installation of Systemised Framed Systems (SFS).
The Vertical bracket (product code 912118) is attached to the edge of the concrete using cast-in anchors or post-Drilled reusable screw anchors. It can be installed along two axes offering a clearance from the slab of 20 mm or 59 mm, before Barriers are installed.

Installing temporary edge protection onto the top surface of the steel section offers protection to anyone working on a steel structure before a unitised facade system is installed onto its perimeter. The temporary edge protection sits within the building line without protrusions to affect the facade installation. Sacrificial sockets are welded to steel structures during fabrication and cast into the floor slabs. The temporary edge protection system is quick and easy to fix to the sections before they are hoisted into the structure.

The Socket base can be used as attachment of temporary edge protection on concrete stairs. Precast stairs are commonly installed inside cores, lowered by crane from above with only small spaces between the side of the stairflight and the inner core walls. This determines that the temporary edge protection should be installed on top of the stairs, with inadequate space for an adjustable clamp. A Socket base (product code 912110) is then anchored to the top of the steps to accept a Post 1,3 and Adjustable link bars.

Coupler 48-50 is used as a bracket for installing edge protection on construction sites. One end on the bracket fits SafetyRespect’s different posts and aluminium pipes and most of the common scaffold brands. The other end fits Flex Beam 50 mm and Alu Beam 50 mm.
Art. No. 915104
Coupler bracket for installing the Safety fan on walls. Fits SafetyRespect’s different posts and aluminium pipes, as well as common scaffold brands.
Art. No. 915103
Double coupler swivelling (screw) is used when Barrier Alu 3 m is to be jointed overlapping, among other things. Fits SafetyRespect’s different posts and aluminium pipes, as well as common scaffold brands.

With a structure framework cast-in-site there is the possibility of designing attachment points for the edge protection. Socket w rebar with integrated post lock, for example, can be cast into the wall tops in, for instance, house gables, lift- and stair shafts. After this Post 1,3 m and Barrier are installed. Vertical brackets can be installed on the formwork as attachments, followed by Post 1,3 m and Barrier.
In order to be able to build external panel walls from inside the slab Balcony bracket 10 degrees can be installed as an attachment, which gives an inclination of the edge protection by approximately 10 degrees. For other requirements of edge protection such as stairs, window openings, etc., there are several solutions that can be designed and cast in order to facilitate installation of edge protection and to create safer working sites.
