The Socket base (product code 912110) is used for installing temporary edge protection on top of the concrete slab keeping the edge clear for fixing facade brackets, when unitised curtain-walling is to be installed or when masonry forms the external facade.
The Socket based is fixed to the concrete slab using a double-threaded M16 (product code 919111) that is screwed into an M16 drop-in or impact anchor (product code 919110). It is designed to hold standard system posts (product code 912110) which are held captive in the socket base using a twist-lock design, which prevents accidental uplift or removal.
When the safety barrier is in its lowest position it seals against the slab, and it can easily be raised on the post for various kinds of work at the slab edge. The Socket base can also be installed on stairs along with posts and rails.
