Post foot

The Post foot (product code 912105) connects to the top of concrete slabs keeping the edge clear for fixing facade brackets, when unitised curtain-walling is to be installed or when masonry forms the external facade.

The Post foot is fixed to the concrete slab using reusable screw anchors, which carries an economical benefit if the edge protection system is to be reused around the project. It is designed to hold a standard system post (product code 912110) which are held captive in the socket base using a twist-lock design, which prevents accidental uplift or removal. The Post foot can also be used with Cast protection (product code. 911140).

Standing seam bracket

On roof base and cover with double seam the Standing seam bracket can be used as attachment for the edge protection. The bracket can be adjusted to four positions for roof inclinations from 5 to 40 degrees. The standing seam bracket is installed so that the seam lock gets a grip under the seam. The sheets must be of good quality and be fastened against the roof construction.

On roof bases the Standing seam bracket is installed above the roof frame with
wood screws.

SR System Post 1,3 m is used for installing barriers as collective edge protection on construction sites. The post inserts universally into all SafetyRespect connecting components, using the integrated post lock device for positive connection that eliminates the possibility of accidental uplift or removal. Barriers are face-fitted onto Posts locating on twin connection points securely locking them in position removing the need for loose and moving clips.

Adjustable link bars

Adjustable link bars are used as collective fall protection for concrete stairs, shafts, openings etc on construction sites. They are a multi-function telescopic component that connects to SR System Posts or Wall brackets, to form horizontal guardrails for flat slabs, door and window openings, or as temporary handrails fixed to concrete stairs.

The connection brackets are built with a swivel function to allow for slab deviations and to allow them to align when used diagonally. A tightening screw locks the rails when adjusted to length.

On door and window openings Wall brackets are installed on each side of the opening as a bracket for attaching the Adjustable link bars. The Adjustable link bars are available in four different sizes from 0,6 metres up to 3,5 metres. This solution makes it easy to remove and put back the edge protection when various types of work is to be carried out, and it also leaves space for different types of lead-throughs.

Precast sockets are used to provide a cast-in base fixing for temporary edge protection posts. The Omnia slab is a reinforced precast concrete slab which incorporates a lattice girder to provide stiffness and facilitate the placement of the top mesh. The lattice girder provides rigidity to the slab when in-situ concrete is poured onto it.

Casting the base fixing into the lower slab portion means that temporary edge protection can be installed onto the slab before it is lifted into position, which allows rebar installation and concrete placing onto the slabs within a collectively protected work area.

Precast sockets are fixed to rebar before the lower portion concrete is cast. A cut length of Protective sleeve (product code 911107) is inserted onto the Precast socket, which forms a 50 mm diameter hole around the Post and allows extraction when temporary edge protection is no longer required.

The products are tested in accordance with EN13374 and meet the dimensioning requirements according to the Euro Code.

The adjustable Clamp 550 (product code 912220) is used in vertical and horizontal configuration as an attachment for temporary edge protection on concrete slab edges, beams and walls with a thickness of 25 – 550 mm. Built with integrated sockets for post insertion with innovative locking device that prevents accidental release of posts. The clamp is swivelling and can be installed in an angle, like in stairs for example, utilised for attaching temporary guardrails.
