Installing temporary edge protection onto the top surface of the steel section offers protection to anyone working on a steel structure before a unitised facade system is installed onto its perimeter. The temporary edge protection sits within the building line without protrusions to affect the facade installation. Sacrificial sockets are welded to steel structures during fabrication and cast into the floor slabs.
