Barrier 1,3

The Barrier 1,3 is a steel framed mesh barrier designed according to EN13374. It is used to prevent falls from height when installed and connected on compatible posts, to form a temporary edge protection system for collective safety on construction projects.

This barrier is the fundamental component in our innovative temporary edge protection systems. Manufactured from steel mesh reinforced with a full perimeter frame improving strength and handling with a 260 mm high toe board to prevent debris falls. Overall height is 1220 mm available in lengths 2600 mm and 1300 mm.

Engineered to connect to our posts with twin wedge connectors that allow front-fitting, a precise and safer installation method than “over the post” systems. The barrier replaces twin guardrails, loose toe boards and connectors in one component.

SafetyRespect temporary edge protection systems have connecting components for most structure types, reinforced and precast concrete, infrastructure, steel, timber & prefabricated mainly incorporating the steel mesh barrier to provide collective protection.

The barriers are zinc plated under powder coating for long-lasting durability.

• Available in two lengths, 1.3 and 2.6 meters.
• Can be easily raised and lowered on the posts.
• Zinc plated and powder coated.
• Stable frame construction.
• Integrated toe board 260 mm.
• Weight 10,8 kg.
• 46 pieces delivered in stacking stillage.

precast socket temporary edge protection concret construction

Precast socket

precast socket temporary edge protection concret construction

Precast sockets are used to provide a cast-in base fixing for temporary edge protection posts. The Omnia slab is a reinforced precast concrete slab which incorporates a lattice girder to provide stiffness and facilitate the placement of the top mesh. The lattice girder provides rigidity to the slab when in-situ concrete is poured onto it.

Casting the base fixing into the lower slab portion means that temporary edge protection can be installed onto the slab before it is lifted into position, which allows rebar installation and concrete placing onto the slabs within a collectively protected work area.

Precast sockets are fixed to rebar before the lower portion concrete is cast. A cut length of Protective sleeve (product code 911107) is inserted onto the Precast socket, which forms a 50 mm diameter hole around the Post and allows extraction when temporary edge protection is no longer required.

The products are tested in accordance with EN13374 and meet the dimensioning requirements according to the Euro Code.

Alu beam bracket (primary and secondary)

The Alu beam bracket is used to connect the SR Temporary edge protection system to aluminium primary or secondary beams in horizontal formwork / falsework systems. They straddle the beams with a bolt lock underneath to clamp onto its upper flange. Post 1,3 m is then inserted into the Alu beam bracket, which has built in a post lock inside the post holder to prevent uplift or accidental uplift. This makes it suitable for using on table formwork.

It is available in two lengths (primary and secondary) to ensure that the edge protection barriers are set at the correct height. Compatible with most systems including Ishebeck, Brandway, RMD Kwikform and Peri.

• Integrated post lock.
• Hot dip galvanized.
• Quick screw lock.
• Delivered in stacking stillage.
• Weight 3,0 kg, 2,3 kg.

Wi bracket

Wi bracket

Sandwich walls often have low bearing capacity in the outer sheet, and sometimes the there is no outer sheet and only the insulation is in place. In order to minimize the work of installing edge protection, WI brackets can be cast into the framework with customized spacing for the insulation layer. The bracket is configured specifically for each individual project to fit the wall structure and casting method. Outside the insulation, the Flex vertical beam is used for a close fit for the edge protection. When the edge protection is disassembled, the distances are also removed and a minimal completion of the insulation remains to maintain the insulating properties of the wall.

• Precast insertion into wall elements.
• Used with Flex vertical beam.
• Custom length depending on insulation thickness.
• Insulation thickness up to 200 mm.
• Galvanized.
• Weight 1,8 kg.

Flex facade bracket

Flex facade bracket

Flex facade bracket

In order to create a free working space on facades Flex facade brackets can be used as attachments for temporary edge protection. The attachment itself is designed in order to facilitate installation of edge protections. The distance between the facade and edge protection can easily be adjusted during ongoing work. Flex Facade bracket is available in three different lengths to suit most situations and if the attachments are projected early in the process, the assembly goes quickly and smoothly with high safety. For more specific needs, special configurations of Flex working platform can be the solution that provides good protection without being in the way of work near the edge of the work surface.

• Adjustable 50 – 550 mm from the facade.
• Keyhole bracket.
• Installed with c/c up to 2,4 m.
• Hot dip galvanized.
• Weight 6,8 kg.
